Mark came on a recommendation from an Event Company. I have had Mark do two of my parties and my daughters birthday and I can HIGHLY recommend him to DJ any event.
When you first meet Mark you will be welcomed with a warm, positive, friendly guy. Before the party I had two zoom calls with him so that he could understand more about my party, what I wanted from it, the type of music I wanted and also some background on the people who would be attending. You come away from the calls knowing that you will be in good hands.
As soon as we arrived at my recent party we were welcomed straight away and then Mark showed off his fabulous voice before any of the guests arrived which generated some excitement for the party. I had the best time at my party and Mark played a massive part in that from the music he played, the way he got the audience involved, the fun on some of the stories of the people attending and his great sense of humour. I had fantastic comments from everyone who attended on how brilliant the party was and the music played – we just danced all night!
I would 100% recommend Mark to DJ any event. He is unique in his approach and stands out from other DJ’s. He is not only a brilliant DJ but a genuinely lovely guy who works tirelessly to make sure you have a great event. He isan’t just a DJ that plays songs but is an entertainer and gives your party the right vibe and makes it fun.

Mark was the DJ and MC at our daughter’s wedding on Saturday and he did an outstanding job. Mark stepped into the breach four weeks before our wedding on 8th July 2023.
His sense of humour, focus on getting the planning right, selecting our playlists and having a number of pre meets to ensure we were fully aligned was greatly appreciated.
Mark has great energy (a great singing voice which he never mentioned in advance!) and was totally in sync with his audience throughout the night.
He has the ability to chop and change and adapt as the night progresses. The feedback from the wedding guests was excellent.
He also helped us with the first wedding dance which was really important to us.

Wow, wow, wow! Simply the best! Mark is such an amazing DJ who will go above and beyond to make your day feel that even more special. He took time to really get to know my husband and I, which allowed us to feel more comfortable and enjoy every second of our day. Having had the pleasure of being at 2 weddings with Mark as the DJ, fortunately, he was available for our very own.
His attention to detail is second to none and takes time to appreciate not only us as the bride and groom but also our guests. Mark likes to go around during informal parts of the reception, speak to guests, and get some song requests as well as information about party guests which helps add to the unique atmosphere.
Having had a web call meeting with Mark prior to our wedding, he was keen to know information such as where we first met, our first kiss, who introduced us, etc, which we were happy to provide. This enabled him to speak about these occasions prior to our first dance which made it feel more personal and not just a DJ who presses play on a pre-selected playlist. His music knowledge is excellent and made sure to keep the dancefloor active, which is what we wanted throughout the evening. Mark also takes into account the event’s colour scheme and venue layout in order to create a great atmosphere.
Having seen Mark at three events now, it would in fact discredit him by calling him just a DJ with a disco ball and some big speakers. He is an excellent entertainer and a very good singer who does everything in his power to exceed your expectations.

I never personally knew Mark previously, but my now husband had known him for a long time. I was very impressed with all the preparation that went into this prior which included a face to face meeting. During the meeting he was very professional but also made me laugh through most of it, so I had every confidence that he was going to be amazing on the night. The wedding night itself was absolutely fantastic. The night ran so smoothly with all the additional things that I requested him to host. For example throwing the bouquet, Irish dancing and announcing the 4th birthday of our flower girl with an added game which was enjoyed by everyone. I was blown away with the introduction of Neil and I in preparation for the first dance. Mark sang for the first dance which was sung beautifully by Mark and would definitely recommend. All the guests thought he was very funny and loved how he seemed to know everybody. Mark did this by thorough planning prior to the wedding. WOW!!! Mark is not only the best DJ but one of the most genuine and lovely guys we know!! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding than Mark. We were so impressed with how he took the time to get to know everything about ourselves and our family so that he could personalise our experience as much as possible. Mark really made sure our day was all about us and even went the extra mile of taking photos from his view – photos that are absolutely brilliant might I add. Mark was so much more than just a DJ as he really took the time to get to know us and the wedding party to virtually become part of the celebration! Before the party really started he spent time getting to know the guests to make sure everyone felt at ease. As a result, there wasn’t a single song that didn’t get the crowd dancing, and Mark managed this including our Polish and German guests. Even learning Polish to introduce us and our first dance … such a special touch for our families.
During the party itself, Mark took his own photos and videos and captured some truly special moments, after the photographer had left. It was great to have him at our wedding party.

Mark was the DJ at my daughter and Son in Laws wedding reception on Sunday April 2nd at Moxhull Hall. I cannot speak highly enough of him. He made the evening so personal to us all and so much fun. Mark did our wedding night and I do not think there are words to describe just how fantastic he made our evening. An absolutely incredible night with all our songs linked in with our family & friends and the dancefloor was never quiet. He took a lot of time to get to know us. Our first dance was special and those closest to us were included and obviously lots of jokes made! He finished our night by actually singing our first dance song which made the ending was just as perfect as the start. He then sent me edited photos for when I woke up the next morning! Perfect.
We recently attended the Christmas event at the Motorcycle Museum. We were blown away with the personal touches Mark made preceding the event and during the night. Considering there were over 200 guests each and every one had a personalised song list, we were all involved in a range of great fun activities with prizes and we danced into the early hours. Mark made the night at our Works Christmas Do! To be honest we were nervous how the night would go – it was the night of the England v France match in the World Cup, a few of our party weren’t happy that the match wasn’t being shown at the venue (rightly so, we were there to party!). It was a multi-company event however Mark had done his research prior to the event – asking for any special occasions/funny stories/info on our guests attending, so right from the start Mark made everyone feel at ease and included in the night he made it feel personal. He didn’t just spend the night playing music he got everyone in the room involved in games and up dancing, we haven’t laughed so much in ages, all of our guests have commented on what a fantastic night they all had! All in all a fantastic night would not hesitate in booking Mark for any future events and recommending him to anyone else who wants something more that just your average DJ. Well what can I say … Mark Tolliss really is one of a kind! We booked him thinking he would be just our fantastic DJ, he wasn’t just a fantastic DJ he was an entertainer, comedian, singer and awesome host. We had Mark as our wedding DJ, entertainer, comedian.. you name it. He was absolutely incredible. We had several online meetings with him beforehand to discuss ourselves, how he works, and to talk about our music, guests and timings of the day, and even then we knew how great he was going to be.
One thing I loved was that he set up his equipment and lighting during our ceremony so when we went into the meal he was there already, and wouldn’t need to set up at 6 before the reception, so it really felt like he was a big part of our day.
When it came to the actual reception he was incredible. Ever since the wedding all our guests have said to us is how amazing he was, how funny he was and so much more. Mark really knows how to get to know a crowd, read the room and play music to keep people dancing all night. We had so many comments saying it was the best wedding they’d been to, how they’ve never seen the dance floor so full at a wedding and how funny and brilliant he was.
I wish I could go back to the day and do it all over again because he did an absolutely amazing job and he is such a genuine and nice guy. Our wedding would not have been the success it was if we hadn’t chosen him as our DJ.
It’s not just the music side of things, but it’s the getting to know guests during the meal, making hilarious comments throughout the night and even having a good sing during the room changeover (he has an insane voice).

MARK TOLLISS – WHAT A GUY!!!
My husband and I got married at Moxhull Hall in July. Nearly two months on and our wedding guests are still talking and raving about how amazing our DJ was.
From the very beginning the entire process with Mark was seamless. Due to COVID 19 our wedding day got postponed on two separate occasions but this was not a problem at all. He accommodated our new date and made the changes easy. From initial emails and calls, to our online chat before the big day, Mark was fantastic at communicating. He took any stress away, made us feel at ease and even took the time to get to know our love story, wedding party and guests so he could make references throughout the night – we knew we were in safe hands!
On our wedding day Mark did not disappoint but instead exceeded our expectations! The music choice was just perfect, the dance floor was full the entire time and nobody wanted the night to end.

Mark was fantastic from beginning to the end of our wedding.
A week before the big day we had an in-depth chat about our guests and what kind of music we wanted. It was clear Mark knew his stuff as he would recommend songs based on what type of music we liked, and a lot of the time songs that we hadnt even thought about. We came off the call feeling even more excited for our wedding than we already were.
The music on the night was brilliant and Mark knew how to keep the party going full swing for the whole time. The funny comments kept everyone entertained and made the experience feel really interactive, and we had so many compliments from everyone saying how incredible our DJ was.
Afterwards Mark sent us loads of great photos which I didn’t even realise he had been taking, with some brilliant videos too. They are so funny to look back on and we’re still laughing at them now!

Mark was absolutely brilliant and loved by all of our guests. We spoke to him twice pre-wedding and his enthusiasm was clear to see. He wanted to know as much as possible about us and the guests beforehand so that the night was personal to us and full of laughs. It was great to know that the songs we really love were going to be played. We were excited for the night and confident that Mark would do a great job. On the day he was fantastic. He arrived early, chatted to our guests for requests and chipped in with jokes on the mic. The dancefloor was busy all night long and we loved seeing some of our guests dancing crazily to the songs they’d picked. It was such a great atmosphere and a night we would happily relive a million times over. When my daughter and her fiancé decided to arrange their own wedding reception I immediately recommended Mark. I think this shows how much confidence we have in him. I would recommend him even more strongly now!! He’s not a DJ, he’s a very professional entertainer. His preparation is remarkably detailed which means his performance at the event goes way beyond your expectations. He creates a happy and celebratory atmosphere that everyone enjoys. Mark was a recommended supplier by our wedding venue and he did not disappoint!
Honestly, we were a little skeptical about having entertainment that was particularly personalised initially as we wanted it to appeal to all of our guests, however after speaking in person we were reassured that some personalisation was a good thing! Mark did a very tasteful job of inserting snippets of detail into our evening about us, and about our guests (either provided by us or from him mingling with them all to learn about their tastes). He clearly has a passion for entertaining, and really wants everyone to have a good time, which is exactly what we wanted for our reception. The dancefloor wasn’t empty at a single point in the evening!
We’ve had multiple comments since from guests (across a range of ages) about how excellent our DJ was and we can only agree. Mark did a fabulous job and he’s a great guy.

We can’t thank Mark enough; he was an incredible entertainer and DJ at our wedding. He made the effort to understand stories about the guests beforehand which he included throughout the evening (much to the surprise of the guests). These personalised touches really made the evening special and we received many compliments from our guests! Mark got the tone 100% right and we would recommend him to all.

What can I say, Mark made my husbands 40th. His personal touch by remembering guest names and working the crowd is such a gift he has. He knew we wanted it 80’s theme and went to town with the rubix cube lighting decor, he even dressed 80’s style himself! I’ve been to few occasions now where Mark has been the DJ and I honestly wouldn’t use anyone else. His music choice, professionalism and especially his hilarious sense of humour cannot compare to anyone else in the industry. I highly recommend Mark for any occasion. Mark is just the best DJ and really made our wedding disco feel really special. What sets Mark apart is that he made us feel that he totally got us, understood what we wanted and that because he shared the image of what we wanted he really made the extra effort to make it happen – it was things like chatting with our guests in the evening as we arrived for the disco to get to know them and what they liked – he felt like he was part of our friends and family.

I contacted Mark through a recommendation with an idea for a corporate event that I was organising, which would be the first time we had all got together since the coronavirus pandemic. The initial contact was via email and after a brief introduction, we soon arranged an online call. We explained what we wanted to do and Mark was great at advising us of what he thought would work well and was honest with us from the start. The energy from the call was fantastic and we came away excited for the event. On the evening, we opened the doors to the venue and was overwhelmed with how good everything looked, from the equipment to the lighting and Mark welcomed us with open arms. After our awards ceremony and meal, it was over to Mark for the party and straight away he got us all up on the dancefloor, which set the tone for the evening. What can I say, the whole evening was fantastic and was enjoyed by everyone. The little touches in between with the song requests and photos was great. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We were all buzzing at the end of the evening and it was an evening to remember. Thank you so much Mark for making the event a success. I would 100% recommend!
