To be fair, we knew Mark had to be top flight as he is well known to a group of my (now) wife’s friends and has done many of their weddings.
Blessed with the gift of the gab, Mark worked with us early on, maintained good communication and worked with the timings of the wedding to make a great night happen.
A detailed form came to us, which I initially thought would go un-used, but I stand corrected as Mark referred to the songs and why they were important throughout the night, building the stages of the night as it went on and helped blend the two sides of guests at our wedding perfectly!
We had plenty of positive comments about Mark and people contacting us the day after to see if they could book him. Great testiment to him.

Where to start…
I always wanted a live band for my wedding, the stereotype of a Wedding DJ has always put me off. However with the desired band already being booked we turned to Mark through a family recommendation. And can i say this was the best news we had.
Mark contacted us and invited my wife, baby daughter and myself to have an informal meet. Using pre-prepared questionnaires, Mark already knew enough to create a perfect play list for our big day. I was amazed to see how in-depth that went…. Every song and every guest was talked about and notes were made. Mark joked that he would remember everyone and get them all involved…. 180 guests – good luck.
Mark stayed in contact even though he was on holiday in Portugal and when the issue of a delayed food service was told to us by our venue with 3 days to go. Mark took over, spoke with the venue to ensure everything would run smoothly …. and of course it did.
Nobody could believe the transformation of our Wedding Breakfast room to what can only be described as a full on nightclub.. Matching the lights for the room to that of our wedding.
Normally at family events, the elderly move out and the kids run in, but i can honestly say the volume and atmosphere attracted all and offended non.
Mark came true to his word and engaged with everyone at our wedding. It was like we had an extra guest that we all knew and loved..
With close family and friends being in the Wedding & Events Planning industry they all commented on Mark and mostly the fact that at no point from his first song to his last encore was the dance floor less than 60% full.
Mark I can not thank you enough for everything, you made our day so much more by doing something that you are obviously natural at. My only way of thanking you is this:

Mark… Where do we start? Brill bloke who wants to know the ins and outs of your wedding, family and friends! The day after my wedding I must have had ten of my family members say ‘do you know Mark then? Nope he is just a class DJ who had my whole family entertained for the whole evening!!

We found Mark on the internet because we were searching for an entertainer rather than just a DJ for our wedding reception. We read his reviews, researched his background and so forth and then we decided to contact him in order to have a meeting with him; this we did shortly after the initial contact. Mark invited us to his home, made us a cup of tea and we chatted. It was like talking to a friend rather than someone we had just met! Of course we booked him.
A year later we met Mark again at the venue, Coombe Abbey, to discuss our requirements and he was full of ideas as to how to personalize our special night and helped us to structure the whole evening so that no one was left out and all music tastes were catered for. We walked away from the meeting feeling very confident and happy!
A month later he finally performed at our wedding. We cannot express enough how impressed we were with his general manner. Mark was dressed very smartly and was extremely professional throughout the evening. He played a variety of music but ensured that he covered everything, whether it be a band we like or a track for us or one of our guests. He had prepared himself to ensure all special requests we had made were fully met. One of the things he had said to us was that he would get to know a lot of our guests names and by the end of the evening it would feel like we were all one big happy family! Well he exceeded our expectations in that respect…..he was on first name terms with a lot of our guests who couldn’t get enough of the music, the dancing and the DJ entertainer himself! The dance floor was full practically all night and he also gave us the opportunity to feel very special by calling us up to dance together to an ‘audience’ on more than one occasion. Mark had actually remembered us saying to him at one of our meetings how much we enjoyed dancing together to certain special tracks. He made us and the vast majority of guests feel extremely special on the dance floor because he gave so many people the opportunity to do ‘their thing’. He also sang a few times and had some of the guests in tears of joy because he was so good! Our friends and family members have made so many fantastic comments by personal communication as well as on social media sites about our special entertainer and how much they enjoyed our wedding reception.
We could go on and on about how enjoyable our wedding reception was as a result of our entertainer and friend (now) but we will have to conclude by saying Mark is a professional entertainer and not just a DJ. He prepares himself well and personalizes the event according to the requirements of the party in question. He has a beautiful friendly manner and an equally beautiful voice. I am looking for an excuse to book his services again in the not to distant future!!

We hired Mark for our wedding at the end of June, although his cost was more than the DJ at our wedding venue he was most definitely worth the extra.
We had a fabulous time and our dance floor was full. He varied music for my family from Ireland , allowed some of our crazy friends to sing and got everyone on their feet.
The best was that he even worked his magic with the staff and got us at least 2 extensions to the end of our wedding evening. Our guests definitely were celebrating that !!

We had mark for our wedding at Hampton Manor on the 22/05/2015, and he was amazing. As me and my husband listen to heavy metal and our families don’t he was very accommodating and made sure the mixture of music was perfect and everyone was on the dance floor. He also took the time to learn peoples names which was no easy task as I have a massive family.

Another fantastic night with Mark entertaining for my Dads 60th we’ve had lots of feedback this morning from all the party goers saying the entertainment was brilliant!
We first saw Mark singing at the Windmill Hotel and knew straightaway we wanted him to be our wedding entertainer that was 15 years ago and he made our wedding night so perfect. We had letters from guests saying what fun they’d had and the Hotel Manager said the bar staff hadn’t wanted to go home at the end of their shift they were having so much fun !! Says it all !!

Mark compered and DJ’d at our UK launch of the new Pringles Tortilla product – Old Trafford, Manchester – and everyone was blown away by his professionalism and great personality! We hired Mark to create a party atmosphere and he certainly achieved that, engaging the shoppers and store staff alike. Mark compared and DJ’ed our charity event. We had a hard time organising it, but from day one, once Mark was involved, he threw himself into our event with gusto. The fact that he wanted to know all about us, the people involved, the reason why we were doing what we were doing and the actual illness itself that we were raising funds for , made it all the more easier.
He connected with all of us from the first minute at the event, it was if he had known us all for ages and it wasn’t simply a job to him. The music, the raffle and auction, he handled with such ease and a sense of great fun. He engaged with everyone and made sure no-one was left out. I know for a fact that a lot of people want to use him for their own functions and parties having seen him work.
I would like to thank him for making our special event even more special.

I was lucky enough to be included in Becci’s 50th birthday and wowser, the entertainment was brilliant, Mark seemed to know everyone in the room before we had even started! Great fun & banter, great music and just an excellent afternoon! All 38 women were strutting their stuff at 4pm in the afternoon! The only minus point was the afternoon had to end! Mark you were brilliant and have already booked him for another function! xx
I met Mark at a wedding but never saw him perform ! There was just something about him and when he told me what he did, I thought it sounded fantastic.
On April the 25th 2015 I was 50 and I invited 38 ladies to an afternoon of high tea, Prossecco and entertainment.
I had sat with Mark and gone through each of my guests, described their personalities and Mark remembered the lot !! On the day Mark made each woman feel special. He made it so personal for every single guest.
My mum is very shy and the ultimate for me was Mark invites her up to the dance floor, remembered she was from Irish descent and got everyone dancing to her favourite Irish tunes. Bridie is still talking about it.
If you want something traditional, but extremely personal with somebody who is extremely professional. MARK TOLLISS is definitely your man.

We hired Mark for our wedding in November 2014… by far one of the best decisions we made throughout the whole planning process!
Words can really not explain how good Mark is at what he does – he is like a guest who is having a great time with you and ensures that your guests do the same.
He really went out of his way to get to know as many people and stories as possible so that our guests felt really comfortable and important. He arranged dance – offs which got everyone to the floor and it was just laugh after laugh all night.
I have had tons of people say to me it was the best wedding / wedding reception they have ever been to and everyone is still talking about ‘our DJ’ even now!

We decided it would be a good idea to get married in secret and then under the disguise of a 40th birthday party for Emma surprise the guests and emerge in our wedding attire!!! It was an amazing night but it simply would not have worked or maybe even happened if it hadn’t been for Mark who planned the night to perfection with us.
He acted as Vicar in a mock ceremony and he compered and orchestrated the entire night including the vows, speeches and creating mock hen and stag do’s so no body missed out on the usual traditions that go with weddings. All that and still DJ’ing til the early hours.
We were blown away by his ability to know everyone in the room which made the night very personal to everyone, Mark will definitely get a few gigs out of our bunch and we would not have another party without him.

We were fortunate to meet Mark some years ago and ever since have used him for all our private and business events.
He recently did our daughter’s 18th party and catered for all ages amongst the party, Hannah, her family and the guests had a truly memorable evening with a bit of Mark’s singing thrown into the mix.
Mark is a true professional who can make the most of any event and has all the tools and professionalism to get any gig moving.

Firstly a massive thank you Mark you were amazing xx We came across Mark through a family member and we are so glad we did, we wouldn’t of wanted any other DJ to do our wedding because they wouldn’t have come close to the standards of Mark.
Once you’ve booked Mark he doesn’t just turn up at your venue and DJ, he stayed in touch with us from the minute we arranged to meet him, making sure everything was ok, times etc, even after we had sent him song choices he still rang us a few days before to make sure everything was in place an ran through everything with us.
A lot of our guests didn’t turn up on the evening which i was really annoyed and upset about but Mark made me see it’s the people that are here that counts and re-assured me that the night will be brilliant. He got all the guests, that did make the effort to come, up dancing and having fun. Just a brilliant way to look at things. Thank you for taking the time to comfort me too.

We hired Mark for our wedding, off the back of three completely independent recommendations.
I can honestly say he was a joy to work with from start to finish.
Not only is he one of the nicest/funniest/coolest guys you could meet, he really does know how to work the crowd perfectly. Getting just the right balance between time on the mic (what a great singing voice by the way!) and playing great tunes at just the right times.
I think it’s fair to say we’ll now be recommending him too! Keep up the good work buddy, and hopefully see you again soon!

I cannot let Saturday night go unmentioned. We booked you for my 50th on a recommendation and you were ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING !! So many of my Guests have already commented on how fantastic you were and that is totally backed up by myself. You made my night so special, the way you interacted with the crowd and kept the music flowing was truly fab .

I have recommended mark to many people over the years. When asked how the party went the answer’s always the same. ‘WOW’ Can’t ask for more than that. Now where’s the Asprin….!
We first met Mark at a Christmas party and we knew straight away he would be perfect for our wedding.
The entertainment Mark provided was first class. The nice thing about Mark was that he made the evening so personal to us and made our family and friends feel really special.
Mark is not only a brilliant DJ but also a great singer and all round entertainer.
